Most of you probably know that in a past life, I was involved in parkour. At the time, this movement was just beginning to emerge in Russia, and even more so in Khakassia, where I grew up. We learned tricks by watching foreign videos. Parkour videos from England were particularly influential, as they featured some of the most experienced athletes and outstanding training locations.

And now, almost 16 years after one of those videos was released, I found myself at one of the most famous parkour spots, located in Cambridge. It's interesting how life unfolds; I no longer practice parkour as I used to, but it's nice to realize that I live near places that have had an impact on my life.
