Hi, I'm back again. Where have I been for the past six months?

The last time we "saw" each other here was in September 2025. It feels like a lifetime has passed. You know that feeling when the inspiration to write just disappears, and you choose to live life "in the moment," rather than in posts? That's what happened to me.

The short answer: everything is fine with me and my family. We're still in London (it's been a year and a half already, how time flies!), still exploring English estates, and still trying to figure out this complex, beautiful, and sometimes very unpredictable country.

What happened in these six months?

In short, it was a kaleidoscope of everyday life, travel, and important decisions:

* Travel: We flew to Serbia again. You know, it's our tried-and-true route – we combine "dental tourism" with a vacation. It's a great opportunity to relax, change the scenery, and get things in order in a familiar environment.

* London life: We finally ticked off the "must-see" tourist attractions – the London Eye and the Aquarium. My daughter was thrilled, we were a little shocked by the queues, but the views of the Thames and the joy in my child's eyes made it all worthwhile.

* The house saga: This was a whole separate chapter. We seriously considered buying a house and visited a bunch of towns in search of "the right vibe." We looked at Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City... But either it didn't resonate, or it wasn't the right option for us. In the end, we settled on St Albans, even made an offer on a house, but... at the last minute, we decided to back out. Now it seems like the best decision is to wait.

* Worries: I won't lie, the atmosphere is heavy. News about upcoming changes to the ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) rules is causing anxiety – the rules of the game are changing constantly, and that adds uncertainty. Global events, the rapid development of AI... Sometimes it feels like the world is moving too fast, and it's hard to plan anything further than a week in advance. We simply don't know how life will turn out tomorrow, but we are trying to adapt.

But we choose to focus on the good.

We still love our trips around the country, the architecture of old England, and the atmosphere of quiet estates. It's our way of staying grounded and feeling that there are things that have lasted for centuries, no matter what.

I'm not promising that posts will now appear every day. In fact, knowing myself, I can't guarantee that I won't go silent again for the next six months :) But right now, I'm happy to be back in touch.

Tell me, how are you? What important things have happened to you since last autumn? 🤍
