Serbia for the Weekend: A Quick Getaway

In July, I spontaneously decided to visit Serbia to see an old friend. Our plan was simple: rent a car and head out for an adventure. We ended up in the stunning Đerdap National Park.

For a couple of nights, our home was a tiny hotel right on the border with Romania. My phone was amusingly going crazy, constantly switching between Serbian and Romanian roaming.

During that time, we managed to explore the enormous Rajkovac Cave, which stretches for kilometers into the rock, and stand beneath Valea Prastului - a giant stone bridge created by nature. These are places of incredible power.

As a souvenir, I put together a short clip from the trip, capturing the atmosphere without any editing.

This whole trip is a vivid reminder that the best moments happen spontaneously. I'm incredibly glad we managed to get away and meet up. I hope these kinds of encounters become more frequent. By the way, regarding prices: the flights to Serbia were pleasantly surprising (£30 one way), but the parking at the UK airport was not (almost £100 for a few days). So keep that in mind!
