"It's been a while since we visited any local estates," we thought, and decided to look for something new. This time, our choice fell on Blickling Hall - a magnificent house in the Jacobin style, located on 5000 acres of parkland on a bend in the River Bure, near the village of Blickling, north of Aylsham in Norfolk, England.
Anne Boleyn was born here, and the local library contains one of the most historically significant collections of manuscripts and books in England, comprising approximately 13,000 to 14,000 volumes.
The journey here is not short; it took us about 2 hours to get here from Cambridge. On the way back, we stopped in Norwich and took a short walk.
