Continuing the conversation about personal projects, I decided to publish one of them – a simple Telegram bot capable of taking pictures from a webcam. Its functionality is straightforward: you send it a command, and it immediately responds with a picture from the webcam.

This bot was developed back in 2018, when I realized I could use it to monitor my apartment when I was away. Since my computer was always on, I would simply run the bot, send it messages, and it would, in turn, send me pictures.

I've refreshed the code a bit and updated the framework version. If you're suddenly interested in the bot, I can share a readily available version with you. If you don't want to bother with compiling and installing .NET, no problem! I've provided a ready-to-use self-contained release (win x64) that you just need to unpack, enter your details in appsettings.json, and run (don't forget to create a bot in Telegram beforehand by contacting @BotFather).
